Fibre and Wi-Fi troubleshooting in Marrakech

A lost connection, a red LOS light or repeated dropouts do not always have the same cause. In Marrakech and the surrounding area, WifiUrgence examines accessible components of the installation inside the home: the optical terminal outlet (PTO), indoor cabling, router and Wi-Fi connection. The aim is to describe what is observed and help you understand the next step, without promising to repair a fault that depends on the external network.

What symptoms can be investigated?

Troubleshooting starts with the symptoms you observe: no connection, dropouts, a warning light on the router, or Wi-Fi unavailable in part of the home. A red LOS light is useful information to share, but on its own it is not enough to establish where the fault lies.

Describe when the problem began and whether it affects all devices or only certain rooms. These details help distinguish a Wi-Fi coverage issue from a problem with the fibre connection or router.

What the indoor diagnostic includes

The check covers equipment inside the home: the visible condition and connections of the fibre termination point (PTO), accessible indoor cabling, router indicator lights, and the optical signal level, depending on the installation. The technician explains the observations and the limits of the check.

Do not dismantle the PTO, handle the optical connector, or open an operator’s box. A clear photo of the indicator lights and visible components is enough to prepare for the initial discussion.

A clear boundary: no work on the external network

WifiUrgence is an independent service. The visit does not cover PBO/FAT enclosures, street cabinets, external fibre, or equipment belonging to the operator. If the observations suggest a fault outside the home, we will explain this so you can contact your operator.

Any repairs inside the home or supply of equipment must be explained and agreed to separately before any work begins. The diagnostic does not guarantee that an external fault will be repaired.

Preparing a service request in Marrakech

Tell us your neighbourhood, the type of problem, and which indicator lights are showing. If possible, attach a photo of the router and the PTO without moving or opening any equipment. This helps with the initial conversation, but does not replace an inspection of the installation.

For a home visit, travel and the technical diagnosis cost 200 DH, payable on arrival. Any repair or equipment supply is quoted separately and requires your approval before work begins.

Frequently asked questions

What to Know Before You Request a Service

Does a red LOS light always mean the outside fibre line is cut?

No. The indicator light is a clue, not a diagnosis of where the fault is. The inspection is limited to accessible indoor components; the operator must intervene if the fault concerns its external network.

Does the service include repairs to the provider’s network?

No. Outside network equipment and infrastructure, as well as equipment owned by the provider, are not handled. Any indoor repair or additional equipment must be explained and agreed to separately.

What is the fee for the diagnostic visit?

The call-out and in-home technical diagnostic cost 200 DH, payable on arrival. Any repairs or equipment supplied are separate and require your prior approval.
